San Jose, CA-★★★★★  Ratings: 4.74 -118 Reviews When looking for a gynecomastia specialist, it would be wise to have 2 or 3 consultations to make sure you find a surgeon that makes you feel comfortable. Be sure to view before and after pictures of actual patients to get an idea of what type of results you can expect.  The photos are from patients all over the world including San Jose, California.

Miguel Delgado, M.D.  has an exceptional office staff that warmly greets all patients making them feel comfortable. Knowing what to expect at the first consultation helps most patients feel less anxious.

Upon arriving at the office of Dr. Miguel Delgado, either at Union Square in San Francisco or the Marin County Office in Novato, you will be given some routine paperwork to fill out and a questionnaire to help Miguel Delgado, M.D.  evaluate your case.

Next you will be escorted to a comfortable exam room, where you will meet with Dr. Delgado. Miguel Delgado, M.D. has specialized in gynecomastia surgery since 1989. His expertise and friendly manner put men at ease immediately. During the initial consultation, Miguel Delgado, M.D. will have several questions that will help him determine the possible cause of gynecomastia. He will ask questions such as:
·        When did you first notice signs of gynecomastia?
·        Do your breasts change with weight fluctuations?
·        Do any family members have gynecomastia?
·        What type of medications and supplements do you take?
·        Are you comfortable removing your shirt in public?
·        What results are you anticipating?

After reviewing pertinent information, Dr. Delgado will do a physical exam of your chest. He will then discuss his recommendations and describe in detail how he would perform surgery.

For a man with “true” gynecomastia, Miguel Delgado, M.D. will do a combination of liposuction and surgical excision to remove fat and breast tissue. If a man has pseudo-gynecomastia, which is caused by fat alone, then it may be possible to remove with liposuction or a non-surgical procedure called “CoolSculpting” which freezes the fat and is gradually removed from the body naturally.

After the physical exam, you will be escorted to the office of the patient coordinator where Miguel Delgado, M.D. will show you several albums of before and after pictures of many of his patients. He will answer any questions you may have. At this time, you will then meet with the patient coordinator who will explain what fees are involved and give you a quote sheet. She will be able to answer many pre-operative and post-operative questions you may have.

To further educate men about gynecomastia surgery, Miguel Delgado, M.D. has produced produced a six part video, from the first consultation to the post-operative visits.  The video below is the short version of the story of three men.
