After five to six months of healing from the initial procedure, the patient can schedule stage two which is usually done under local anesthesia as an office procedure. By removing excess skin in a donut shape from around the areola, Miguel Delgado, M.D.  can close the incision with a purse string type suture. The adolescent, that has severe gynecomastia, has better options. Because younger men have good skin elasticity, there is a possibility that the surgery can be done in one stage. This is portrayed in the pictures below of a 15 year old patient who traveled with his parents to see Dr. Delgado from the East Coast.

The young man and his parents were so happy with his surgery results that they recently sent pictures showing his results a year later.
